Call for animators to participate in the RapidLion International Film Festival 2019

This year, the historic Market Theater Precinct in Johannesburg will host the 4th Annual RapidLion, South Africa’s International Film Festival, from the 1st to the 10th March 2019. The Festival will incorporate a hub of activities that includes 132 film screenings, film premier events as well as different developmental programmes through workshops, master-classes, and panel discussions on various aspects of film-making. The Festival will also host a world class Awards Ceremony.

The RapidLion organisation would like to invite the animation community to participate in the Festival. Animators and creators can ask for their movies to be screened and/or marketed during the Festival at the Market Theater Precinct. Below are the requirements for participation:

For screening purposes, please send the films screener in the following format: H264 (at best quality, constant bit rate 44.1 audio kHz)

If you would like your films to be marketed, please send the following for each film:

• The film’s trailer
• High-resolution promotional stills from the film
• High-resolution photograph of the director
• A 200-word biography of the director
• A 200-word synopsis of the film
