PANEL DISCUSSION ABOUT THE FUTURE OF WOMEN IN TECH
“EKasi Women In Tech: addressing the gender gap in the Tech Industry and inspiring the next generation of Women in Tech”
Erika Denis, Regional Head of Media, Music and Film at the French Embassy, will be present at the Ekasi Tech Fest in Soweto from 18 to 20 October 2018.
She will participate in the panel “The Future of Women in Tech: Beyond Tech”: a panel discussion to interrogate the challenges or barriers for women in tech, with the key focus on the south African emerging technology industries. The session will look into challenges such as career opportunities, market access, funding and resources.
What are the barriers and challenges surmounted by township or rural young women wishing to practice in the digital professions? Programs already exist to enable these women to develop their skills and reach the level of the future leaders of this growing industry.
Digital Lab Africa is one of those programs that offer African women from all walks of life a place in the Tech World. Back on DLA projects carried by women entrepreneurs and talented.
