Viva Technology, the major international rendezvous for innovation and startups bringing together the inventors of tomorrow’s world, returns for its third edition to the Parc des Expositions in Paris from the 24th to 26th of May 2018. Among the speakers this year? Marck Zuckerberg (Facebook),Ginni Rometty (IBM), Dara Khosrowshahi (Uber), and a lot of others will take us into the fascinating world of technology and the opportunities it brings.
This year a special focus is given to the African continent. Lesley Williams, CEO of Thsimologong and DLA partner, will speak during the panel [Afric@Tech] An Ecosystem Takes Shape (May 24th, 9:45am): significant progress has been made in laying the groundwork for innovation in Africa. Tech hubs are scattered across the region, as are accelerators and co-working spaces.
About Lesley Williams
Lesley Williams is CEO of Tshimologong Precinct, a Wits University owned digital innovation hub in Johannesburg that propels entrepreneurship and grows the skills pipeline for the digital economy through collaboration with provincial government, corporates and entrepreneurs. She is also owner of LD Williams Consulting.
Lesley founded Impact Hub Johannesburg in 2010 – the first in Africa and now one of over 100 Impact Hubs in major cities around the world. She became a recipient of a 2015 Unashamedly Ethical Award in the Business Category and in 2011 she was selected onto the list of the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans. In 2009 she was selected as one of sixty young global leaders on a BP Antarctica Expedition focusing on Climate Change.
