Triggerfish Animation, Afrika Toon, Sacem, Gaité Lyrique, Camera Lucida… in 2018, new partners are joining Digital Lab Africa to incubate next-gen talent in Africa.
Winning applicants of DLA’s second edition will be accompanied by its whole ecosystem made of the best French and Sub-Saharan African experts and companies in multimedia field. The objective of DLA’s incubation programme is to accelerate the projects’ development and to make them happen thanks to the support of DLA partners.
The DLA Incubation Pass includes :
1/ mentorship sessions by experts for each of the 5 DLA categories : Animation, Video Game, Virtual Reality, Digital Music, Web Creation
2/ residence time within a digital cluster (up to 1 month)
3/ participation in benchmark multimedia events in France and Sub-Saharan African region

IFAS (South Africa)
The French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) is the cultural arm of the French Embassy in South Africa and supports events and programmes in various domains. Digital Lab Africa programme has been initiated by IFAS in 2016 to support creative industries in Sub-Saharan African region.
TRACE (South Africa)
TRACE is the leading youth media brand in Sub-Saharan Africa and the signature afro-urban media brand in France, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean. TRACE owns and operates 21 paid TV channels, 4 FM radio stations and over 30 digital and mobile services in 160 countries.
LAGARDERE STUDIOS (France)
Lagardère studios incorporates all of the TV production activities of the Lagardère group, the leading audio-visual production group in France and Europe. Lagardère studios is an international key player in the production and distribution of independent audio-visual content, very active in the digital space. Lagardère Studios brings together 35 production companies in 3 continents including Africa, among them Keewu Production based in Senegal.

AFRIKA TOON (Ivory Coast)
Afrika Toon (2D / 3D animation) has acquired an experience in comics, animation and related domains. Its ambitions exceed Ivory Coast’s borders, thus Africa Toon aims the African market and intend to be internationally renown in the animation domain.
ARTE, the European culture channel, broadcasts content that promote cultural diversity and multilingualism. The channel fosters artistic production by supporting directors and by co-producing movies, series and documentaries. ARTE is also one of the most innovative channels in multimedia content developing new formats for the web. ARTE’s programs are available on www.arte.tv in French, German and since recently in English and Spanish.

KEEWU PRODUCTION (Senegal)
