Meet with Arnault Labaronne, Florian Pannetier and Kenneth Kaplan who will mentor the 1st South African Virtual Reality Film Jam.
From 24 to 27 October, 12 participants will get the chance to learn how to write, shoot and edit a Cinematic VR experience in less than 48 hours with the help of our French & South African mentors.
Arnault Labaronne, Jam artistic director, producer/director (FRANCE)
Starting his career as a fiction film director, Arnault short films have been selected in more than 60 international film festivals and have won ten awards. Between 2000 and 2010, he worked as an artistic director for BORDERS, a collaborative fiction project all over Europe. As a production director and developer at UBISOFT, he collaborated on the ASSASSIN’S CREED video game. His innovative approach and his curiosity about new technologies led him to explore all types of narration, working on reinforcing the immersion and the interactivity of the audience experience.

Kenneth Kaplan, Jam script doctor, producer/director (SOUTH AFRICA)
Kenneth directed the award winner cult horror film PURE BLOOD, and continued as a producer and director of various documentaries and narrative series for South African and international TV broadcasters. Besides his feature film projects, he is currently teaching screenwriting and directing in the Film & Television Division at Wits School of Arts.

Florian Pannetier, Jam Technical Director (FRANCE)
After multi-fields studies including dramatic art, cinema and marketing, Florian worked as a cameraman, editor and motion designer. His collaborations on TV documentaries, corporate videos and video games gave him a good knowledge of the diversity of broadcasting industry. He is now operating on Virtual Reality field.
